Our DEPT has assisted Xingren Garden Night Market in Bade District in comprehensively promoting various environmental improvement measures. The main goals include “source reduction of single-use disposable products”, “resource recycling”, “oil fume emission control”, “catering wastewater treatment” and “high-quality public toilets”. Starting from reducing the use of single-use disposable tableware in dine-in stores and continuing to promote plastic reduction for take-out; setting up second-hand bag recycling boxes within the night market to make it easy for consumers who forget to bring their own eco-friendly bags to reduce the use of plastic bags; in terms of air improvement, more than 75% of vendors have installed oil fume control equipment; and all catering wastewater is recycled to achieve effective reuse of water resources.
